NSW: State MP declares support for workers comp amendments

NSW Labor Council Secretary MICHAEL COSTA says Mr COLLIER had two-and-a-half weeks
to respond to the Labor Council's letter but had declined to contact him until yesterday.

He says the protest will be turned into a congratulatory meeting if Mr COLLIER is prepared
to indicate publicly to that group of workers his position on workers comp.

Mr COSTA says most of the CARR Government backbench -- 36 in total-- had so far indicated
to the Labor Council they supported amendments to workers compensation legislation.
